Read your Microsoft Teams call in your own language

Jinsoku translates Microsoft Teams calls as people speak. It listens to the browser tab your call is in, so there's no bot in the meeting, no integration to approve, and nothing for anyone else to install.

How it works

Open your call at teams.microsoft.com in Chrome or Edge on your computer. In Jinsoku, open Live Meeting Translate, press Start, pick the call's tab and tick "Share tab audio". Translated captions and a running summary appear while people talk.

Getting Microsoft Teams into a browser tab

From a Teams invite, choose "Continue on this browser" instead of opening the Teams app, or sign in at teams.microsoft.com. Jinsoku can then listen to that tab.

After the call

When the call ends you get a transcript with speakers labeled ("Speaker 1", "Speaker 2") and an AI summary you can review and export, instead of half-remembered notes.

What it costs

The free plan shows live captions of the call in the language being spoken. Live translation comes with Spark at $2 a week or $8.99 a month, or Bolt at $30 a month.

Questions people ask

Does Jinsoku join my Microsoft Teams call?

No. There is no bot and no Microsoft Teams integration. Jinsoku only listens to the browser tab you choose to share. Nothing joins the call except you.

Can the other people on my call hear the translation?

No. In Live Meeting Translate you read translated captions, and an optional spoken readout in a neutral AI voice plays only on your own device. Jinsoku sends no audio into the call, so nobody else hears it and nobody else installs anything.

Which browser do I need?

Live Meeting Translate reads the audio of a browser tab, which needs Chrome or Edge on a desktop or laptop. Open your call in that browser, press Start in Jinsoku, pick the call's tab and tick "Share tab audio".

Do I need permission to translate the call?

You need the right to record and translate the calls you join. Jinsoku doesn't check consent for you, so tell the other people on the call if that's expected where you are.
